Berryman Equipment Company is uniquely qualified in the industry to offer a VHF (152/157Mhz) SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) wireless system licensed for use by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in 56 counties in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Municipal customers that utilize our system save upfront costs by eliminating the costs associated with RF engineering/planning and licensing. Additionally, the one to six month delay associated with applying for a license is eliminated by using the Berryman Equipment Company wireless system and license.

Customers that currently have wideband VHF SCADA systems potentially could avoid the infrastructure cost of replacing this equipment by reprogramming their equipment to the Berryman VHF wireless system. The FCC has mandated that existing SCADA systems migrate to narrowband by the year 2013. In many cases this would require new hardware and equipment in addition to site programming. By utilizing the Berryman system much of these costs can be avoided.

A monthly subscription charge applies to customers utilizing this wireless system and ranges from $15-$35 per month per unit depending on the number of units, geographic area covered, etc.
