Infrared Analysis / IR Scans
Infrared Scan Inspection &
Infrared Imaging in Illinois, Wisconsin & Indiana
Infrared testing is essentially a
non-invasive, non-destructive inspection process that uses
thermography cameras. These devices gather temperature
signatures that lie far beyond the range of visible light.
Analysis of this data will help you detect problems before
they become serious and costly issues.
In the vast majority of cases the analysis is completed
under load with no interruption to your production process.
IR is routinely used to evaluate electrical boxes, control
boxes, bearings, drive gears and couplings, building
structures and rooftops. Typical analysis regularly reveals
moisture intrusion, missing or damaged insulation,
overloaded circuits, faulty wiring, impellor interference,
breakdown of lubrication, loose electrical connections and
construction defects.
Upon completion of the IR analysis, the Berryman Equipment
Company engineer will provide an easy to understand report
containing pictures and recommended course of action. In
most cases the savings from cost avoidance far exceeds the
IR analysis costs.
Benefits of Berryman IR Scans:
-
Identifies problems that are not visible
with the naked eye or through physical inspections.
-
The cost of the IR scan & report is
almost always recouped in cost avoidance.
-
IR scans do not impact your production
process.
-
Our scans are performed by degreed
mechanical engineers and certified thermographers.
-
Typically, our scan costs are in the
$750-$1000 range.
-
IR scans can be combined with vibration
scans to further reduce your overall maintenance costs.
-
IR scans can typically be performed
within 48 hours.
